Goal-based investing

Invest with a purpose in mind

Every goal has a different timeline. Steady Path helps you think through the goal first, then the investing approach.

Consistent investing and sufficient time can help you work towards important financial goals. Steady Path helps make the journey clearer and more organised — but no goal or outcome can be guaranteed.

How it works

A clear, step-by-step process

  1. 1

    Understand your requirement

We start with a conversation about your goals, timeline, and current situation.

  2. 2

    Discuss suitable service options

For mutual funds this covers your risk profile, investment horizon, and your informed consent. For insurance, we discuss the relevant product category, policy documents, exclusions, and waiting periods. For tax matters, we discuss the facts, applicable law, and documents involved. For loans against mutual funds, we discuss eligible schemes, lien marking, and the lender's process.

  3. 3

Complete the required process and documentation

Mutual fund onboarding involves KYC and investor consent; insurance involves insurer application and underwriting; tax assistance involves organising the correct documentation; loan-against-mutual-funds applications follow the lending institution's own application and lien-marking process.

  4. 4

    Receive ongoing personal assistance

Steady Path stays available for servicing, questions, and future needs as your situation evolves.

Frequently asked questions

Good questions to ask before you start

What services does Steady Path provide?

Steady Path provides four distinct services: mutual fund distribution, insurance assistance, income-tax consulting, and loan-against-mutual-funds assistance. Each is offered separately and is clearly labelled on this website.

Who is Sh. Rajinder Singh?

Sh. Rajinder Singh is a retired Income Tax Officer with 33 years of service in the Government of India. He now operates Steady Path as a personal financial-services practice.

What is ARN 365801?

ARN 365801 is Sh. Rajinder Singh's AMFI Registration Number as a Mutual Fund Distributor. It permits him to distribute mutual fund schemes and earn distributor commission; it is not an insurance licence, tax registration, or SEBI investment-adviser registration.

Is Steady Path a SEBI Registered Investment Adviser?

No. Steady Path provides mutual fund distribution services, not SEBI-registered investment advisory services, and does not provide personalised investment advice as a SEBI Registered Investment Adviser.

What is a SIP?

A Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) lets you invest a fixed amount into a mutual fund scheme at regular intervals, typically monthly, instead of investing a large amount at once.

Can mutual fund returns be guaranteed?

No. Mutual fund investments are subject to market risks. Returns are market-linked and can be higher or lower than any illustrative figure shown on this website.

What is the difference between Regular and Direct Plans?

Regular Plans are purchased through a distributor like Steady Path and include distributor commission within the plan's expense structure. Direct Plans are purchased directly from the AMC without distributor involvement or commission.

How is a mutual fund distributor compensated?

A mutual fund distributor is compensated through commission paid by the Asset Management Company (AMC), which is built into the expense structure of Regular Plans. Specific commission details are available on request.

What is a loan against mutual funds?

A loan against mutual funds lets you access funds by pledging eligible mutual fund units as collateral with a lending institution, without redeeming your investment. Steady Path can assist with understanding the option and the application process; the loan itself, its terms, interest rate, and approval are decided by the lending institution, not by Steady Path.

Does Steady Path provide insurance services?

Steady Path assists with understanding and selecting suitable insurance protection from authorised providers. This is subject to applicable licence and product terms — see the notice on our Insurance page for current verification status.

What insurance licence information should I verify?

Before proceeding with any insurance business, please verify Sh. Rajinder Singh's current insurance licence/agent code, the issuing insurer or intermediary, and the licence validity directly with him.

Steady Path offers general income-tax consultation, return-related assistance, document organisation, and tax-compliance assistance. See our Income Tax page for the full, and the excluded, scope of services.

Is Steady Path connected with the Government of India?

No. Steady Path is privately operated by Sh. Rajinder Singh. It is not a Government of India, Income Tax Department, AMFI, SEBI, or IRDAI website, and none of these bodies endorse Steady Path. Sh. Rajinder Singh's government service history is professional background, not a continuing government affiliation.
